Anterior Cruciate Ligaments

Alexis Jenkins definitely is very active from the start. Sports have always been her passion; growing up, you could always catch her outside at the softball field playing with her high school, tournament team, or family. This all was until she had an almost career-ending injury occur not just once but twice. Luckily, she could continue to play two years of college softball, but she always wondered why tearing your ACL, also known as your Anterior Cruciate Ligament, was such a big deal. Now years later, she is a Senior here at Millersville studying Sports Journalism. After graduation, she plans to work her way into the ESPN world to eventually become an ESPN Broadcast Journalist.

Examining Our Past: Millersville’s History with the Carlisle Indian Industrial School

Bryanna Nase is a first-year student at Millersville University. She is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in History and hopes to later achieve a Master’s degree in History and Library Science. She is a research fellow at McNairy Library and a research intern for the university’s Archives and Special Collections. Bryanna is largely interested in the history of marginalized people, and her recent work focuses on American minorities who lived in the late 19th and mid-20th centuries. She hopes to one day author a book on wherever her research takes her. In her free time, Bryanna enjoys embroidering, singing, and exploring Downtown Lancaster.
