Anterior Cruciate Ligaments
By Alexis Jenkins

Alexis Jenkins definitely is very active from the start. Sports have always been her passion; growing up, you could always catch her outside at the softball field playing with her high school, tournament team, or family. This all was until she had an almost career-ending injury occur not just once but twice. Luckily, she could continue to play two years of college softball, but she always wondered why tearing your ACL, also known as your Anterior Cruciate Ligament, was such a big deal. Now years later, she is a Senior here at Millersville studying Sports Journalism. After graduation, she plans to work her way into the ESPN world to eventually become an ESPN Broadcast Journalist.
Not Just Dollars and Cents; But Sensibilities
Gabrielle Davis

Gabrielle Davis is an Early Childhood Education major. She is an untraditional student who is excited about taking a big step in a new direction. With the support of her family, Gabrielle hopes to teach a third or fourth-grade class. She looks forward to sharing her love of reading with her future students. This research project began in her Foundations of Modern Education class as a chance to explore a topic that relates to education. Seeing the rise in food insecurity and the rise in food being less nutritious is something that Gabrielle feels needs to be discussed and fixed. This project has helped to make her see the importance of not just feeding children but feeding them nutritious food as well. Adults and educators especially are in a great position to advocate for this cause, and Gabrielle plans to do the same in her future teaching career path.
